Sequoia National Park

19 juillet 2010

July 19th
Let's go to the Sequoia National Park so we had to go through the Foothills where we saw some cattles (difficult to imagine waht they can eat there). We also drove through impressive Lime groves !

After a couple hours of driving we finally reached the park ... and walked on top of Moro Rock. There is a very nice view of the valleys and the highest peaks of the Sierra Nevada.

We were lucky enough to see a family of bears ... but it was very difficult to take nice shots because they were in the shade and not very close !

After driving in the Park where we saw thousands of Sequoia trees and tamonf them he General Sherman, one of the highest, biggest and oldest one, it wasn't too difficult to find a camping place... You'll notice the special steel container against the bears because they love all sorts of food even toothpaste which they can smell from miles away !

  3. You certainly got the right view of a bear leaving instead of attacking. I really like the shot through the branches/root of a tree to a scenic view. Lovely, just lovely cyber tour.
